Notaries in Goryachy Klyuch: office addresses and telephone numbers

There are two reasons to see a notary. First, an apostille cannot go on certain originals — a passport, an employment record book, a military service book — so a notarised copy is apostilled instead. Second, the document is translated, the notary certifies the translator's signature, and the Ministry of Justice apostilles that certification.

A notary works within their own notarial district, but for a copy or a translation you may go to any of them: Article 40 of the Fundamentals of the Legislation on the Notariat allows notarial acts to be performed by any notary except in the cases expressly named in the law, among them inheritance matters and transactions in real property, where the place of application is fixed. Since 1 October 2023 the charge has been a single notarial tariff in two parts: the federal part is the same across the country, while the regional part is approved for the year by the regional notarial chamber, so amounts differ between neighbouring regions.
