How the charge is made up
Since 1 October 2023 the charge for a notarial act has been a single notarial tariff: a federal part plus a regional part (Federal Law No. 338-FZ of 24 July 2023). The former charge for legal and technical services (UPTKh) has been removed from the law, though the name is still in everyday use.
The regional tariff is set every year by the regional notarial chamber, within the limits the Federal Notarial Chamber calculates under the formula set by the Ministry of Justice, which is tied to the subsistence minimum in that region.
Reliefs: people with a group I or II disability pay half of the federal part under Article 333.38 of the Tax Code, and the regional part has its own list of reliefs set by an order of the Ministry of Justice. The calculator does not apply reliefs — ask the notary.
