Consulate requirements
- A notarised translation into Arabic bound to a notarised copy
- First the Russian Ministry of Justice, then the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
After the change of government in Damascus at the end of 2024 the Syrian Embassy in Moscow is renewing the staff of its consular section (according to media reports in 2025); the consular section continues to accept documents, but before visiting it is worth checking by telephone whether legalisation is operating as usual and what the fee currently is.
