    The stamp is only affixed to an original of the established form and in good condition. A laminated document, a Soviet-era form or one with corrections will not be apostilled: you need a duplicate first.

    The Minsk Convention of 1993 on legal assistance is in force between Russia and Turkmenistan: public documents are accepted without an apostille or consular legalisation. There is no fee to pay and no stamp to wait for.

    Translation: check what Turkmenistan requires first

    We have not confirmed from an official source who has to translate the document, so we do not sell this step blind. Ask the receiving institution before you pay: if a Russian notarised translation is acceptable, we will do it together with the apostille; if a translator or notary in the destination country is required, the translation is made there and after the apostille.
