The chain of steps with authorities, fees and timescales. Change the fields and the route is recalculated.
Patent for Malaysia
A chain of three authorities: the Ministry of Justice, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the destination country’s consulate.

- The consulate certifies the translation

Check the patent before you apply
The stamp is only affixed to an original of the established form and in good condition. A laminated document, a Soviet-era form or one with corrections will not be apostilled: you need a duplicate first.
- 2
Have a notarised copy made
The notary certifies that the copy is a true copy. The apostille is then affixed by the Ministry of Justice to the notary's signature, so the original stays with you.
- 3
Have the notary's signature certified by the Ministry of Justice
The first link in consular legalisation: the territorial body of the Ministry of Justice confirms the signature and seal of the notary on the copy or the translation.
The territorial body of the Russian Ministry of Justice - 4
Have the document legalised by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Consular Department certifies the signature of the Ministry of Justice official. Submission is in Moscow and the state fee is charged per document.
Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moscow - 5
Have the document legalised at the consulate of Malaysia
The final link: the consulate of Malaysia in Moscow certifies the seal of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consular fee and the processing time are set by the consulate.
ConsulateMoscow, ул. Мосфильмовская, д. 50, MoscowMon–Fri 09:00–17:00; documents accepted 09:00–12:00, collection 15:00–16:30We have no official source confirming the amount and the procedure — check with the consulate.
- 6
Have the translation certified by the consulate of Malaysia
Only the country’s own consulate accepts the translation into its language: it either translates the document itself or certifies a translation you bring. A Russian notary’s certification is not enough for that, so the translation comes after the other steps. Ask the consulate about the procedure, the time it takes and the fee.
This step is carried out in the destination country. We neither sell it nor charge for it.
Have it done for you
A CDEK courier collects the document anywhere in Russia and returns it with the apostille or legalisation. You pay step by step once a manager has confirmed the scope and the price.
patent for other countries
The route depends on the destination: some countries need an apostille, some need consular legalisation, and some need nothing at all.
Other documents to Malaysia
Each type of document has its own authority and its own procedure — even when the destination is the same.
