Spain: an apostille is required
One apostille stamp obtained in Russia is enough. No consulate is involved. The 1990 treaty on legal assistance formally removes the need for legalisation, but in practice Spanish universities, registry offices and employers almost always ask for an apostille: obtain it in advance.
